We pride ourselves in
using recyclables, green building materials, and the latest sustainable
practices to reduce your long-term costs while creating a healthy and more
efficient model of construction.
And while we put
environmental stewardship at the heart of every decision we make, our
ultimate goal is your satisfaction.
So whether building a
high-performance office complex for LEED certification, constructing a
custom home to an architect's exacting specifications or planning a
project to minimize its impact on natural ecosystems, we work hard to meet
your goals without compromising value or safety.
At Sustainable Structures
of Texas we are working to do development better.

At
FKP, it´s not just about the design; it´s about driving our client´s
competitive advantage through our buildings. We understand that our
creative solutions impact our clients´ business, providing them with a
competitive advantage. As FKP works with healthcare institutions
throughout the world, we have built an understanding of the operational
models that support healthcare systems. This allows the architects and
consultants of the FKP team to advise and design appropriate facilities to
support the delivery demands of those found on an academic campus, to
those representative clinics placed within the community. Our firm
understands that today´s architect must bring a thorough understanding of
operational issues that drive the bottom line and, he or she must be able
to deal with not only design, but all aspects of facility development.
FKP’s work and services
are scalable, allowing clients to access the special services they may
need, while respecting the in-house expertise clients may hold.
The ease of working with an FKP team is accented by many “aha”
moments. Surprises abound in
this thought and planning business, and clients are often led to solutions
that surpass their expectations. This
allows client institutions to position themselves strongly in what have
become very competitive environments or markets.
FKP is made up of
passionate, experienced professionals who know how to listen and observe.
Our team offers a unique method to engage their clients in imaginative
thinking, expand visions, and address challenges in a way that produces
smarter results.

Carpet Recycling
is the local, full service
landfill diversion alternative for commercial carpet. TCR offers end
users, contractors, dealers, and mills a local alternative to land–filling
the carpet pulled out of a client's facility. TCR will accept any type of
commercial carpet. The carpet will be tested, sorted, baled, and shipped
to the appropriate recycling facility or alternative fuel manufacturer.
TCR
offers a variety of services to fit our clients’ needs. First, the fiber
must be tested to determine the correct facility to send the fiber. That
can be done on–site or at our facility with a carpet sample at least 12”
square. TCR can offer full services by doing the complete demolition and
removal. The most popular service is the trailer service. A 48’ trailer
is left at a dock so that the carpet can be loaded by the contractor as
required by the job scope. For smaller jobs less than 4,000 square yards,
TCR offers pick-up service or will accept delivery of the old carpet at
their warehouse for processing.
In
order to ensure that your carpet is not going to landfill, TCR offer
specification writing assistance. This is an excellent way to make sure
that all contractors bidding on your project are aware of your decision to
divert your old carpet from landfill. Finally, TCR issues an
Environmental Stewardship Certificate stating the weight and type of
carpet that you have diverted from landfill.
Saving the world one square yard at a time!
