Turner Construction Company, headquartered in Dallas, Texas was founded in 1902 by Henry C. Turner and is the country’s leading “Green” builder. Turner has completed 26 LEED certified projects and is currently working on more than 56 additional projects that are registered with the USGBC. In addition, Turner has completed more than 160 projects with “Green” building elements equaling more than 43.5 million square feet totaling approximately $ 11.1 billion in construction volume.

The Dallas Business Unit has recently completed the Wal-Mart “Green” Supercenter in McKinney and the LEED Gold Haworth furniture showroom in Dallas. The office is currently building the LEED Silver SMU Embrey Engineering Building and two LEED Certified projects in the Pat Lobb Toyota car dealership and the Corgan Associates Corporate Office building. Turner employees 114 LEED accredited professionals nationwide with plans to increase that number to 200 by the end of 2006.

Since 1971, W.B. Kibler Construction Co., Ltd. has successfully completed more than six hundred projects which include; academic and religious facilities, mid-rise office buildings, retail centers, tilt-wall warehouses, medical facilities, automobile dealerships, manufacturing facilities, banks, restaurants, historic renovations, structural renovations, government projects, multi-family complexes, and interior finish. All of the buildings owned and operated by Cawley Wilcox will be evaluated for sustainability and innovative approaches to reduce the 
consumption of resources and improve the quality of the built environment for our tenants.

Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum, Inc. is a full-service design organization with 50 years of experience. Our diversified practice includes comprehensive architectural, engineering, and interiors services, as well as services in a wide range of related disciplines from facilities consulting to the development of master plans. HOK's presence in Dallas and Fort Worth began in 1968, when architectural design work was started for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport terminals. The School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington offers undergraduate and professional education in Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Interior Design. In 1995, when SEDALCO built the River Legacy Living Science Center in Arlington , Texas , SEDALCO became a pioneer in the construction of sustainable structures in the DFW area. The facility is truly one-of-a-kind, and serves as a reflection of the commitment to protect the earth’s resources and to educate future generations on conservation.

SEDALCO is constructing the Trinity River Audubon Center , which will transform a former landfill site in South Dallas into a showcase facility that includes classrooms, habitat and river exhibits, and community event space. The facility, with an anticipated LEED Gold certification, will serve as a recreational and educational gateway for citizens to enjoy hiking, biking, nature viewing, picnics, and access to the Trinity River . Our other sustainable projects include the Jimmy Tyler Brashear Elementary School and Hampton/Illinois Library. This project was built under the joint ownership of the City of Dallas and Dallas Independent School District .

Texas Carpet Recycling is the local, full service landfill diversion alternative for commercial carpet. TCR offers end users, contractors, dealers, and mills a local alternative to land–filling the carpet pulled out of a client's facility.  TCR will accept any type of commercial carpet.  The carpet will be tested, sorted, baled, and shipped to the appropriate recycling facility or alternative fuel manufacturer.

TCR offers a variety of services to fit our clients’ needs.  First, the fiber must be tested to determine the correct facility to send the fiber.  That can be done on–site or at our facility with a carpet sample at least 12” square.  TCR can offer full services by doing the complete demolition and removal.  The most popular service is the trailer service.  A 48’ trailer is left at a dock so that the carpet can be loaded by the contractor as required by the job scope.  For smaller jobs less than 4,000 square yards, TCR offers pick-up service or will accept delivery of the old carpet at their warehouse for processing. 

In order to ensure that your carpet is not going to landfill, TCR offer specification writing assistance.  This is an excellent way to make sure that all contractors bidding on your project are aware of your decision to divert your old carpet from landfill.  Finally, TCR issues an Environmental Stewardship Certificate stating the weight and type of carpet that you have diverted from landfill.
